I PRAYED

FOR YOU TODAY

I prayed a prayer for you today.

I'm sure God must have heard.

He knew my every thought for you

Before I spoke a word!

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame or any worldly pleasure.

I asked for peace of mind for you,

A far more lasting treasure!

I asked him to solve the problems,

That you might not despair,

And whenever you are feeling low,

I asked Him to be there.

I asked that He be near you

At the start of each new day.

And lace the hours with sunbeams

To brighten up your day.

I asked for happiness for you

And experiences rich and rare,

But most of all I prayed for Him,

To keep you in His care.
